National Virtual Showcase Competition: A Quick Preview



Itching to compete but don’t want to travel? Do you love to dance and perform? Have you been working on a new routine but have no one to show it to?

Fred Astaire Dance Studios would like to invite you to the future: The National Virtual Showcase Competition 2021!!!

Submit your video/s for a chance to win!!!

Here’s how to enter:

Choose which category/division you would like to compete. We are now offering three ways to do all of that, Enter one level or enter them all! Enter as many types of numbers as you have!

Submission dates for entry forms are August 2-6. Once a submission has been approved and paid for, you will be sent a link to upload the video to.

· Judging will take place August 16-18. There will be a different panel of judges for each division

· All routines will be shown on the days leading up to the Grand Awards Show. Winners will be announced on Saturday August 28 via LiveStream and only the Top Scoring routines will be shown during the Awards show.

And that’s it! There will be 3rd, 2nd, 1st & Grand Prize Winners!!!

Rules:

· Please follow the guidelines for the below categories as listed in the divisions and dances. For example: A Novelty is a Broadway skit, lip sync or vaudeville type of routine and must be entered as such. It can’t also be entered as a solo.

· All videos must be filmed in the studio or outside and filmed in Landscape Layout. To make things fair, we are not accepting professional videos of on stage performances or past competitions. Any professional videos uploaded will be disqualified.

· We still want makeup, hair, costumes, props, Give us all you got!

· You must enter as Newcomer, Bronze, Silver, Gold. You may enter your current level and a level higher to see how you do!

· Please choose an age category. You may pick your own age category and one level down if you dance as a C or a B:

· Junior – 17 and Under

· A – 18-38

· B – 39-59

· C – 60+
